Celebrating Piano Day 2025 @ Humber St Piano Sessions

A day that celebrates the piano and those who play it. The day will involve lots of pianistic activities around Hull, including a Piano Student Showcase and pop-up spaces on Pier Street. I am one of five pianists showcasing some music as part of the evening festivites. Using the theme of ‘elegance’, I will demonstrate the historical lineage of certain experimental pieces by Matthew Lee Knowles, Linda Catlin Smith and Wolfgang Rihm by pairing them with the imaginative writing of Robert Schumann and Edvard Grieg.
