I was thrilled to be a part of Christian Marclay’s Investigations at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival this year. There was camaraderie in the air when joining the 19 other pianists to deliver unique interpretations of his photographs. I found the time spent preparing and deciphering the 100 different images particularly calming with many decisions I made being changed after returning for a second, or third time. It was an exciting experience to be a part of and I felt giddy to be playing with other pianists, for a change. I hope there will be a reunion performance in the future.
